History and development
H2R was created after eleven editions of H2Roma (go to the site), and has grown to become a great forum for events, a showcase for Italian and international previews, a point of reference for exchange and in-depth information of extremely high quality on energy and sustainable mobility.
From 2002 to 2005 - H2Roma is held in the Auditorium of the CNR, with the piazzale Aldo Moro opposite hosting the display and test drives of vehicles and prototypes.
From 2006 to 2007 - H2Roma takes place in the Protomoteca Hall of the Capitoline Hill, with the Piazza del Popolo as the display area for the cars and the most advanced eco-compatible technologies as well as starting point for test drives.
In 2008 - H2Roma takes place entirely in the Piazza del Popolo, becoming a genuine “outdoor trade fair” with display, conference areas and starting point for test drives.
In 2009 - H2Roma takes place in Palazzo Pamphilj in the splendid Piazza Navona, with the display areas in the cloister-garth of the Palazzo della Cancelleria.
From 2010 al 2012 - H2Roma takes place in the Salone delle Fontane of EUR, with the display in interior and exterior locations, scientific meetings, press conferences, teaching and information pathways and test drives on low- and zero-emission models and prototypes.
In 2013 - H2R - Mobility for sustainability is created and the original formula of conferences, exhibition and on-the-road test drives of new high-efficiency, low-emissions automotive technologies transfers to the Rimini exhibition district as part of Ecomondo.
The 2014 edition confirms the success of this event with a significant presence of exhibitors, media, high-level conferences and interest from visitors.
In 2015, with the theme of “Mobility and/is sustainability”, H2R puts itself forward to host the Ecomondo Main Conference and bring important brands and technologies to the exhibition.
